About Us
Our Story
Horn Public Arts was born out of a deep passion to provide a platform for East African creatives in Minnesota to share their stories, art, and culture with the world. Inspired by the vibrant artistic traditions of the Horn of Africa, we sought to create a space where artists, from painters to filmmakers, could come together to collaborate, showcase their talents, and celebrate their cultural heritage.
Founded by a group of artists and community leaders who recognized the need for a dedicated space for East African creatives, Horn Public Arts has become a central hub for fostering creativity and community. Our journey began with a small group of passionate individuals who shared a vision of bridging cultures, preserving traditions, and uplifting emerging artists. Over the years, we have grown into a dynamic nonprofit organization, hosting exhibitions, workshops, and events that bring together artists and audiences from all walks of life.
